What is Custom Fitting?

Every golfer has a distinctive swing, body type, and playing style, and custom fitting ensures that your clubs are uniquely suited to you. By adjusting factors like club length, lie angle, shaft flex, and grip size, custom fitting ensures you get the most out of your game. When your equipment feels right, it can boost confidence, improve consistency, and make the game more satisfying overall.

Our Custom Fitting Process:

1. Player Interview:

A player interview serves as an essential first step, allowing the fitter to understand the golfer's preferences, playing style, and any specific challenges they may be facing on the course. Questions may cover topics like preferred shot shape, typical miss-hits, and areas of the game that the player wishes to improve. This qualitative information provides valuable insights into the golfer's mindset and goals.

2. Physical Assessment:

Following the interview, a physical assessment considers the golfer's physical attributes, including height, arm length, and posture. These factors play a role in determining the initial adjustments to club specifications, such as club length and lie angle.

3. Swing Analysis:

Why: The golfer's swing is then analysed using Trackman and other technology. This objective data, combined with the subjective insights from the player interview, provides a comprehensive understanding of the player's unique characteristics and helps guide subsequent adjustments.

4. Club Length and Lie Angle Evaluation:

Why: Building on the physical assessment and swing analysis, adjustments to club length and lie angle are made to ensure dimensions of the club compliment the golfer.

5. Clubhead and Shaft Options:

Why: Offering a variety of clubhead and shaft options allows the golfer to test different combinations. This step enables you to feel the differences and choose the setup that aligns with your preferences and performance.

6. Real-time Testing and Feedback:

Why: The golfer hits balls with the potential custom-fit clubs, providing real-time feedback. Testing different combinations of head, shaft and loft to refine the selection.

7. Grip Selection:

Why: Considering the golfer's hand size and preferences, the fitting process includes selecting the right grip size. A well-fitted grip promotes proper hand placement and contributes to improved control and comfort.

8. Final Adjustments and Confirmation:

Why: Any necessary final tweaks are made before your new custom clubs are placed on order.
